Vitra Hang-It-All by Charles and Ray Eames
Simple but brilliant and exuberant, this is another design from the husband and wife team of Charles and Ray Eames who had a great influence on the mid-20th century
modernist movement that supported the idea that art and industry could effectively combine to produce remarkable products. Here we have the designers’ idea to utilise the skills used in their 1950s mass-produced wire-based tables and chairs. This fun rack which it is almost a shame to ever cover with hats and coats, although the rack was designed to encourage children to keep their clothes tidy, reproduces the Eames hang-it-all.Gloss-painted coloured wooden balls are suspended on a welded wire plastic coated frame. This modern version from Vitra will grace any contemporary hallway, and a colourful and practical addition to any children’s room.
