Tulips are apparently not the only good things to come from Holland. This Spring you could be on your bike cycling a Dutch-style classic from the Hollander Collection. There are traditional styles of cycle to suit most people; the women’s vintage model in pink shown above has all the features you should expect . The maker’s accent is said to be on: retro design and quality materials, detail and accessories (including shiny bell ), and comfort (including spring-mounted saddle seat ).
The other surprise will be the price. High street quality is on offer, but at a much lower price. And, express delivery terms and stated hassle-free returns policy combine to help further ensure you enjoy the buying experience. You can view at made.com now.

Delighted to be showing work of prolific and talented Italian ceramic artist, Aldo Londi. These striking animal objets d’art are part of the Arkitectura range, the last collection by him. The animals are handmade by ceramist masters and coated with precious glazes. Small imperfections that may be noticed are a proof of the hand processes involved in the manufacturing.
Aldo Londi born in 1911, first became passionate about pottery at the age of 11 years when he joined his first employment in the ceramics industry. In the WWII, he was a prisoner of war in South Africa but was able to continue his interest in pottery.Eventually, he returned to his home town in Montelupo of Florence and worked in the business of the famous Bitossi family. He became the master of ceramics and Artistic Director at Ceramica Bitossi responsible for many iconic designs, including the Rimini Blu series, named after a road junction in Italy.
You can visit the heal’s website to see the Arkitectura range of ceramic animals which could find a place in your heart. In stark contrast to the vivid colours of many earlier Londi pieces these striking figures show a serenity and style in white.

1935 was a particularly special year: Elvis Presley was born, and also the 1227 Anglepoise lamp with its three-springs design was produced for market. George Carwardine had designed his essential spring for his first lamp in 1932. These springs were used in series so as to enable the user to position the light wherever it was needed within its reach, confident that it would stay put. Reissued to celebrate its 75th Anniversary, the Original 1227 is made with aluminium arms and a heavily weighted base for extra stability. Supplied with an energy saving bulb.
Dimensions : Reach 70 cm, Shade 20 cm, Base 14 cm, Cable length 2 m
